1. Braves beat Pirates
The Atlanta Braves defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates 5-2 on Monday night at SunTrust Park. David O'Brien write about Matt "Big City" Adams' two-run homerun in his second game with the Braves. The Braves play the second game in the series against the Pirates on Tuesday night. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:35 p.m.
2. Paul Millsap won't opt in for player option
The Atlanta Hawks ownership was informed on Monday that Paul Millsap won't exercise his player option for next season. Millsap can opt in until June 23. Chris Vivlamore has all the details on Millsap and his contract.
3. Loney asked for, granted release by Braves
First baseman James Loney was granted release from the Gwinnett Braves on Monday. David O'Brien has all the information.
4. Gwinnett Braves to rename team
The Gwinnett Braves are holding a contest for fans to help rename the team for next season and beyond. More information on how to suggest names can be found on the AJC.com.
5. Florida linebacker withdraws commitment from UGA
Three-star linebacker Donovan Georges announced he withdrew his commitment from Georgia on Monday with a statement released on Twitter. A 6-foot, 237 pound rising senior from Hialeah, Fla. committed to Georgia in January.
