1. Braves beat Pirates

The Atlanta Braves defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates 5-2 on Monday night at SunTrust Park. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:35 p.m.

2. Paul Millsap won't opt in for player option

3. Loney asked for, granted release by Braves

4. Gwinnett Braves to rename team

The Gwinnett Braves are holding a contest for fans to help rename the team for next season and beyond. More information on how to suggest names can be found on the AJC.com.

5. Florida linebacker withdraws commitment from UGA

Three-star linebacker Donovan Georges announced he withdrew his commitment from Georgia on Monday with a statement released on Twitter. A 6-foot, 237 pound rising senior from Hialeah, Fla. committed to Georgia in January.
