Here’s five thing to know on Monday:

1. Braves lose to Marlins

The Atlanta Braves fell to the Marlins on Sunday afternoon 3-1 in the final of three games at Marlin's Park. The Braves lost the game due to a seventh-inning homer, writes David O'Brien. The Braves begin a two-game series at Toronto on Monday before returning to SunTrust Park for a stretch of nine games. Monday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays is scheduled to begin at 7:07 p.m.

2. Atlanta United ties Portland

Atlanta United traveled to play the Portland Timbers on Sunday and tied the match 1-1. The match was Atlanta United's second draw of the season. Atlanta United's next match will be on Saturday at Bobby Dodd Stadium. The game which begins at 7 p.m. is already sold out.

3. Justin Thomas has successful Saints' tryout

Former Georgia Tech quarterback Justin Thomas went undrafted in the 2017 NFL Draft, but earned a tryout with first the San Francisco 49ers and then with the New Orleans Saints. While the 49ers tryout was unfruitful, Ken Sugiura writes that Thomas was added to the Saints' offseason roster after his tryout on Sunday.

4. Danica Patrick involved in NASCAR crash

NASCAR racer Danica Patrick was involved in a crash during a race late Saturday night. While the vehicles caught on fire, Patrick was unharmed. Photos of the crash are available on the AJC.com.
