Sideline Report: Braves rocket past Giants

Here’s five things to know on Tuesday.

1. Braves soar past Giants

Behind the pitching of R.A. Dickey, the Braves defeated the San Francisco Giants on Monday night 9-0. The game was scoreless until the Braves scored seven runs in the eighth. The Braves next game in the four-game series is on Tuesday at 7:35 p.m.

2. Bartolo Colon to come off DL

Forty-four year-old pitcher Bartolo Colon is set to return from the disabled list on Wednesday. Colon has been on the DL since June 6 with a strained oblique.

3. Georgia Tech to drop Russell Athletic

Georgia Tech's contract with Russell Athletic runs out in June 2018 and the Yellow Jackets have decided to choose a new supplier. The Yellow Jackets are looking at Adidas, Nike and Under Armour so far. Ken Sugiura has more on when Georgia Tech expects to make a decision on their new uniform supplier.

4. Falcons projected depth charter ahead of training camp

5. Thabo Sefolosha named 2017 NBA Africa Game captain

Atlanta Hawks forward Thabo Sefolosha was named a team captain for the 2017 NBA Africa Game. The game will be played on Aug. 5 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
