After announcing her pregnancy on Snapchat on Wednesday, tennis champion Serena Williams will not compete in the remainder of the 2017 season, according to Williams' spokeswoman.

Williams’ spokeswoman Kelly Bush Novak confirmed to the Associated Press on Wednesday that Williams was expecting and due in the Fall after Williams posted a photo of herself with the caption, “20 weeks” on Snapchat.

Novak told the New York Times Williams will not play tennis competitively in the rest of the 2017 season, but she plans on returning in 2018.

“Serena said that I should make sure if anyone asks that that is clear,” Bush Novak said according to the New York Times.

Twelve weeks ago, Williams won the Australian Open and didn’t drop a set, meaning Williams won a Grand Slam title when she was about eight weeks pregnant.

Williams is engaged to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian.
