On the court, tennis star Serena Williams is known for her strength and determination, but away from the court, she has a softer side.

On Tuesday, Williams had to say goodbye to one of her best friends, her dog Jackie.

The dog was 16 years old and had been in good health until just recently.

Williams posted tributes and photos of her beloved dog on her Facebook and Instagram accounts. The posts have quickly gone viral.

Williams asked everyone to give their pets a big hug.
