A Woodinville, Washington, woman made history at the July 11th Seattle Mariners game.
Evelyn Jones became the oldest person to throw the first ceremonial pitch.
She made the pitch on her 108th birthday.
The Seattle Mariners had Evelyn climb the Safeco Field mound just before the game started at 7:10 p.m.
Evelyn lived on a wheat and cattle ranch when she was a girl.
Her daughter, Kay, attributes the healthy lifestyle to her mother's longevity.
She ate lots of beef on the ranch in Eastern Washington, and drank alcohol only when she and her husband, Stanley, would "cut a rug" on weekends.
"That was her favorite thing," said Kay. "The Saturday night dance."
She and Stanley were also enthusiastic Mariners fans.
On Saturday, when Evelyn threw the first ceremonial pitch, the crowd erupted in ovation.
