Adrian Peterson, who has been charged with child abuse after hitting his 4-year-old son with a switch, will be allowed to play in the NFL again this year, according to ESPN.
A U.S. District Court judge ruled that NFL commissioner Roger Gooddell overstepped his authority in suspending Peterson.
The NFL recently instituted harsher punishments for domestic violence charges, but the jduge ruled that since that ruling occurred after Peterson's suspension, he couldn't be punished under it.
