After a 38-7 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship on Sunday, Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur is expected to be named Giants head coach sometime this week, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Shurmur, who’s been with the Vikings since2016, previously served as the Cleveland Browns head coach from 2011-2012.

The Vikings had the NFL’s 11th-best offense this season under Shurmur, averaging 356.9 total yards per game.

Shurmur will replace former Giants coach Ben McAdoo who was in early-December along with Giants general manager Jerry Reese after starting the season 2-10.
