Former Nebraska quarterback Tanner Lee will visit the Atlanta Falcons Monday, according to a report by the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

The Falcons currently have Matt Schaub, a 14-year veteran, behind Matt Ryan at quarterback.

“With 36-year old Matt Schaub behind Matt Ryan, could the #Falcons be in the market for a backup QB?” Rapoport wrote on Twitter. “Nebraska QB prospect Tanner Lee is on a Top 30 visit to Atlanta today, source said.”

Lee, who played at Tulane in 2014 and 2015, threw for 3,143 yards, 23 touchdowns and 16 interceptions during his junior season at Nebraska.

Donald Trump's administration deployed the military to Washington, D.C., in the name of fighting crime, and in an Aug. 11 news conference he mentioned the possibility of military being sent to other large American cities, all of which are led by Black, Democratic mayors. And while Atlanta wasn't included in Trump's list, the city fits that profile under Mayor Andre Dickens. (Photo Illustration: Philip Robibero / AJC | Source: Getty)
