Atlanta Braves third baseman Freddie Freeman celebrated his 28th birthday on Tuesday by hitting a three-run home run during an 8-0 win over the Washington Nationals.
With a 3-1 count in the top of the third, Freeman smacked the ball to center field, scoring Ender Inciarte and Ozzie Albies.
Freeman's homer made the score 4-0.
After hitting his 26th home run of the season, Freeman finished 3-for-5 with three RBIs and two strikeouts.
The Braves play the second of three games at Nationals Park on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m.
