The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race will host the U.S. 10k national championships for the second consecutive year.
The purse for the races has been increased from from $60,000 to $100,000. The winners will receive $15,000 each.
Matt Tegankamp won last year’s men’s championship. Janet Bawcom, formerly of Rome, won the women’s.
Registration for the race, which will be held July 4th, remains open until March 22.
