MLS Atlanta will unveil its name and logo at a party on July 7 at SOHO Lounge.

The franchise said it hoped to reveal its name before the semifinals of the Gold Cup are held at the Georgia Dome on July 22.

The event is only for members of the team’s Founder’s Club. It will last from 7-9 p.m. The public is welcome to watch the first game of the Gold Club after 9 p.m. at SOHO after the name’s unveil.

E-mails are being sent to Founder’s Club members with details.

MLS Atlanta, owned by Arthur Blank, will begin play in 2017 in the new stadium downtown. Blank was awarded the expansion franchise in April 2014.

The invitation to the name event features the colors black, red and gold. They were the same three colors featured in the expansion announcement in 2014.

The jersey, or kit, will not be unveiled on July 7. The debut will come later.
