Atlanta United selects training ground designer

Dec 18, 2015

Atlanta United has hired tvsdesign to design its $50 million traning facility in Cobb County.

The 33-acre site will feature the team’s headquarters, its academy and corporate offices and six training fields. It is expected to bring 80 jobs.

Atlanta United will begin play in 2017 in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium being constructed in downtown Atlanta.

The site along Franklin Road in Marietta is smaller than the 41 acres in DeKalb upon which the team was orginally to build its headquarters and training ground. That agreement was terminated by both parties in early November when it became clear the cost of preparing the land was too expensive.
