Nothing like player proclamations in July.

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott guaranteed his team will win the NFC East during the red carpet portion of the ESPY Awards.

"We're the Cowboys," he said. "We're gonna win the NFC East."

The ESPYs are a night full of fun and partying for athletes, so perhaps Prescott is having fun more so than sending a serious message. Either way, Dallas enters the year the East favorites.

Washington has suffered several free agent departures and off-field turmoil. Philadelphia is still rebuilding, though it added a few playmakers for second-year signal caller Carson Wentz. The primary threat seems to again be the New York Giants, who return a formidable squad complemented by veteran receiver Brandon Marshall.

Prescott, coming off winning 13 games and Rookie of The Year, certainly isn’t short on confidence. That’s an exciting prospect if you’re a Cowboys fan.
