Team that departs quickly: Cincinnati. Missouri, Cincinnati's opponent, sputtered a bit down the stretch, but the Tigers play a brand of basketball that is tough to prepare for.

My dark horse:Tennessee. This is the most puzzling team in the country. How do the Vols beat Pitt and Villanova at neutral sites and finish 5-3 on the road in the Southeastern Conference yet lose eight home games, including to Bobby Cremins and the College of Charleston? For some reason, they are more focused away from home.

Sweet 16 choices: Duke, Arizona, UConn, San Diego State.

Final Four selection: Duke. Check Coach K's track record.

My favorite to cut the nets:Duke. Like last year, Duke is a good not great team. (Unless Kyrie Irving can come back from a toe injury.) But the Blue Devils are good enough to win the national championship in a year when there aren't any great teams.
