Philadelphia Phillies slugger Bryce Harper said Monday that he and his wife are expecting a baby boy in August, WPVI reported.
For those worried this might be an April Fools Day prank, the Phillies confirmed the news and added their congratulations on the team's Instagram account.
Harper, who signed a deal last month reportedly worth $330 million over 12 years, posed with his wife, Kayla Harper, under the Benjamin Franklin Bridge in Philadelphia, for one Instagram shot. A second photograph depicts a sonogram resting atop a small Phillies jacket, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported.
"Philly raised little man will be! #BabyHarper," Harper wrote on Instagram.
In his 2019 debut with the Phillies, Harper batted .333 with two home runs and two RBI in three games.
