If new quarterback Peyton Manning gets hurt again, it will serve the Denver Broncos right, television evangelist Pat Robertson said publicly Thursday.

That's because the team didn't treat Tim Tebow right by trading him to the New York Jets, Roberston said during "The 700 Club."

"I think the Denver Broncos treated him shabbily," Robertson said of Tebow. "He won seven games, he brought them into the playoffs, for heaven sakes. I mean, they were a nothing team."

Tebow, a first-round pick for the Broncos in 2010, became the team's starting quarterback after a 1-4 start and helped turn around the season, including several late-game turnaround wins. In addition to his on-field heroics, Tebow is known for outward displays of his Christian faith, including kneeling and praying on the sidelines.

But the former Heisman Trophy winner was traded after the team signed free agent Manning earlier this week. Manning missed the entire 2011 season with the Indianapolis Colts following two neck surgeries. And that, according to Robertson, could cost the Broncos.

"And you just ask yourself, OK, so Peyton Manning was a tremendous MVP quarterback, but he's been injured," Robertson said. "If that injury comes back, Denver will find itself without a quarterback. And in my opinion, it would serve them right."
