Oklahoma City Thunder assistant general manager Troy Weaver has emerged as a candidate for the Atlanta Hawks general manager position, according to ESPN’s Mark Stein.

Weaver, a former assistant coach at Syracuse and director of player personnel with the Utah Jazz, has been with the Thunder since 2010.

General manager is one of two roles to fill in the Hawks’ front office after former general manager Wes Wilcox resigned and coach Mike Budenholzer stepped down as president of basketball operations last week.
