Noteworthy: Stanford's senior class has reached four consecutive College Cups, but has yet to come home victorious. A semifinalist in 2008 and a finalist the past two years, the Cardinal (23-0-1) are ranked first in the country and bent on completing the mission. Stanford has an elite goalie in Emily Oliver, is organized by playmaking midfielder Teresa Noyola and has Pac-12 player of the year Lindsay Taylor at forward. The No. 9 Seminoles (18-6-1) are unbeaten in their past 10 games and rolled No. 8 Virginia 3-0 in the regional finals. Goalkeeper Kelsey Wys, the MVP of the ACC tournament, has shut out three of Florida State's four NCAA tournament opponents. Two-time All-ACC forward Tiffany McCarty has points in nine of her past 10 games.

Duke vs. Wake Forest

Noteworthy: The second semifinal will match two of the best defenses in the country. No. 3 Duke (21-3-1) averages .44 goals against, seventh in the country, and gave up just three goals in its 10-game ACC schedule. Duke defenders Natasha Anasi and Ashley Rape and goalkeeper Tara Campbell all have youth national-team experience. Duke has dangerous scorers in Laura Weinberg and Mollie Pathman to counter Wake Forest's Katie Stengel and Rachel Nuzzolese. With goalkeeper Aubrey Bledsoe and an imposing backline, No. 6 Wake Forest (18-3-4) has a goals-against average of .62. Bledsoe, a first-team All-ACC pick, has set a school record with 14 shutouts.
