Matt Bryant joins Morten Andersen as Falcons with most Player of the Week awards

Atlanta Falcons kicker Matt Bryant joined Morten Andersen as the only kickers in team history to win at least five Player of the Week awards, according to NFL’s senior director of football communications Randall Liu.

A 16-year veteran, Bryant earned his fifth Special Teams Player of the Week award after making one extra-point and 5-of-5 field goals, including one for 56 yards, against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.

Andersen, who played with the Falcons from 1995-2000 and again from 2006-2007 recorded seven Player of the Week awards.
