Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton showed up to the Met Gala in style Monday evening wearing a flashy purple and blue print suit and an oversized flat brim hat.
The Panthers posted a photo of the former NFL MVP with the caption, “An icon living.”

Newton also attended the 2017 Met Gala at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art wearing a top hat, which many fans compared to Willy Wonka.
