A few minutes after Cleveland Cavaliers guard Dwyane Wade was traded to the Miami Heat on Thursday, teammate and friend LeBron James posted a message saying goodbye on Instagram.

“Truly happy for my brother (Wade)!! It’s how it’s (supposed) to be. Love you my guy!!” James wrote.

Wade, who spent 13 of his 15 years in the NBA with the Heat, was traded for "a heavily protected" second-round pick, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

In 46 games with the Cavaliers this season, Wade averaged 11.2 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.5 assists and shot 45.5 percent from the field and 32.9 percent from the 3-point line.
