KSU’s Gilliland headed to West Alabama

Kennesaw State quarterbacks coach Brett Gilliland has resigned to accept a head-coaching position at West Alabama.

Gilliland joined the Owls’ start-up program on May 20 after spending the previous three years at Georgia Southern.

Gilliland played quarterback for four years at West Alabama (2000-03), finishing with 6,847 total yards in 42 games.

The Owls will play their first game in 2015.
