Kyle Korver will be among the players invited to try out for the 2014-16 USA Basketball Men’s National team, according to a person familiar with the situation.

The Hawks guard will be among 25-30 players invited to camp when the official announcement is made by USA Basketball Thursday morning. The announcement will be made by USA Basketball chairman Jerry Colangelo and coach Mike Krzyzewski.

From the pool of players will come the 12-member team that will compete in the 2014 World Cup in Spain and the 2016 Olympics in Brazil.

Korver, with an NBA-record streak of 109 games with a 3-pointer entering Wednesday’s game against the Magic, has averaged 12.2 points per game for the Hawks this season. He has shot .458 (98-of-214) from 3-point range, the third-best percentage in the NBA.

Among the players also reportedly invited to try out are Stephen Curry, Kevin Love, Kevin Durant, LaMarcus Aldridge, Paul George, James Harden, Dwight Howard, Damian Lillard and DeMarcus Cousins.

Hawks' worth reported: Forbes unveiled its annual NBA team valuations Wednesday, and the Hawks came in at 27th of 30 teams, with a net worth of $425 million.

Only the Pelicans ($420 million), Bobcats ($410 million) and Bucks ($405 million) are worth less, according to the publication. It reported the average worth of an NBA franchise at $634 million. The Knicks are the league’s most valuable franchise at $1.4 billion. The Hawks’ 34 percent value change over last year represented the fifth-largest increase. The publication listed the Hawks’ revenue at $119 million.

According to the report, the Hawks are one of four NBA teams that lost money on an operating basis at $3.6 million. The Nets ($19 million), 76ers ($3.8 million) and Timberwolves ($2.7 million) are the other franchises losing money.

Nunnally re-signs: The Hawks signed James Nunnally to second 10-day contract Wednesday. The forward was with the team in Orlando for a stint that will make him available for six games before the deal expires Feb. 1.

“I’m really excited,” Nunnally said. “First of all, I want to thank the organization for keeping me here. It’s a blessing to me and my family. I’m going to continue to work hard and do whatever they need me to do, whether it’s in practice, run through offenses, whatever.”

Following the expiration of the second contract the Hawks must sign Nunnally for the remainder of the season or cut ties with him.

Nunnally appeared in one of three games in his initial 10 days with the Hawks. He scored five points in last week’s loss to the Nets in London.

According to coach Mike Budenholzer, the Hawks explored other possibilities before giving Nunnally an extended look. “We feel like he is someone we want to explore a little more and get to know better,” Budenholzer said.

Johnson released: Former Hawks player Ivan Johnson was waived by the Zhejiang Chouzhou Golden Bulls of the Chinese Basketball Association on Wednesday. Johnson received interest from several NBA teams, including the Hawks, before his release. The team has been exploring options since the season-ending injury to Al Horford.
