Kennesaw State (2-3) battled back from a 34-22 halftime deficit but fell 104-98 to South Carolina State in double overtime at the KSU Convocation Center on Saturday.

Three Owls scored more than 20 points each as KSU took a six-point lead in the second half only to fall to the Bulldogs, who shot 13 of 18 from the field in the two extra periods.

Spencer Dixon scored 26, one point shy of a career high. Delbert Love (22 points) and Markeith Cummings (20 points) both fouled out in the second overtime.

Omar Sanders led the Bulldogs (4-2) with a double-double, scoring 28 and collecting 13 rebounds.

The Owls open their Atlantic Sun schedule at Belmont at 8:15 p.m. Thursday.
