Jim Harbaugh gives Michigan helmet, Jordans to Pope Francis

On Wednesday morning, Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh handed a Michigan helmet and Jordan sneakers to Pope Francis at St. Peter’s Basilica.

Harbaugh and the Michigan football team attended the Pope’s weekly Mass at St. Peter’s Basilica on Wednesday.

Ninety-nine Michigan football players, Harbaugh, his wife Sarah Harbaugh and the football staff are on a spring break trip to Italy this week, according to ESPN.

The team is expected to hold three practices while abroad, according to ESPN. In February, Harbaugh called the trip an international experience for his football team.
