Southwest DeKalb running back Ken Malcome and defensive end T.J. Stripling and Avondale coach Michael Carson are the winners of the Touchdown Club of Atlanta's weekly awards.

Malcome, the back of the week, rushed for 182 yards in Southwest DeKalb's 21-7 victory over Marist. Malcome leads DeKalb County in rushing with 1,091 yards in eight games.

Stripling, the lineman of the week, had two sacks to bring his season total to 18, which leads DeKalb.

Malcome and Stripling have committed to Georgia.

Carson led Avondale to a 28-14 victory over Decatur in a pivotal Region 6-AA game. If Avondale wins either of its final two games, it will clinch the school's first winning record and first state playoff berth in 20 years.

The honorees will be recognized Monday at the Touchdown Club's weekly meeting at Fox Sports Grill in Atlantic Station. The guest speaker will be Valdosta State head coach David Dean. The program, sponsored by the Army, can be seen live on www.touchdownatlanta.com at 12:25 p.m.
