New coaches for Starr's Mill, Windsor Forest

Phillips named head coach at Starr's Mill

Starr's Mill has promoted offensive coordinator Chad Phillips to replace Mike Earwood.

Phillips had come to Starr's Mill in 1997 with Earwood. The two were together at Cartersville beginning with Cartersville's state championship team in 1991.

Earwood now is coach of Our Lady of Mercy.

Roundtree new coach at Windsor Forest

Windsor Forest of Savannah has promoted defensive coordinator Jason Roundtree to replace Mike Martin.

Windsor Forest has reached the playoffs the past six seasons in Region 3-AAAAA but failed to advance past the first round. The Knights were 6-5 last season under Martin, who left to become an assistant at South Effingham
