Hawks waive Cunningham
The Hawks requested waivers on guard Jared Cunningham Saturday.
Cunningham, who has bounced between the Hawks and the NBA Development League this season, appeared in just five games with the team. He was re-called from the Bakersfield (Calif.) Jam Friday and was in uniform against the Pistons.
Cunningham will become an unrestricted free agent should he clears waivers in 48 hours. He was to become a free agent at the end of the season after the Hawks declined to pick up his third-year option.
