ESPN’s College Football Power Index has taken a liking to Georgia Tech. Originally projected to have a 28.8% chance to win six games and a .8% chance to win the ACC Coastal Division, numbers that dipped after the season-opening loss to Northern Illinois, the index’s algorithms give the Yellow Jackets much better chances to do both after their near upset of then-No. 6 Clemson and their 45-22 defeat of then-No. 21 North Carolina on Saturday.

Tech’s probability to win six games has improved to 53.4% and qualify for a bowl game and a 14.5% likelihood of winning the Coastal.

The Jackets were given a .1% chance of winning the ACC title before the first game, a probability that is now 4.8%.

Tech is given a 44.8% probability of defeating Pitt on Saturday at Bobby Dodd Stadium.
