As the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Ken Sugiura reported Thursday morning, Georgia Tech guard Josh Okogie has declared for the 2018 NBA Draft, but will not sign with an agent.

After news broke, Okogie tweeted a statement thanking coach Josh Pastner, his teammates and Georgia Tech fans for supporting him over the past two seasons.

“It’s always been my dream to play in the NBA and I would like to test the waters and declare for the 2018 NBA Draft… I would love to have everyone’s continued support and prayers during the process,” Okogie wrote in part.

The sophomore from Snellville, Ga. has until May 30 to withdraw his name from the NBA Draft to return for his junior season. Okogie is able to participate in work outs with NBA teams beginning on April 24 and may attend the NBA Combine from May 16-20.
