Georgia Tech scored three touchdowns against Jacksonville State in the third quarter to blow the game open Saturday at Bobby Dodd Stadium.

It began when the Yellow Jackets’ Step Durham intercepted a pass two plays into the second half at the Gamecocks 16-yard line. From there, TaQuon Marshall connected with Ricky Jeune for a 23-yard touchdown -- the pairs second hook-up of the game.

On the Gamecocks next play, quarterback Bryant Horn fumbled and Tech safety A.J. Gray recovered. Marshall found J.J. Green in the back of the end zone several plays later and the Yellow Jackets went up 23-7.

Then freshman B-back Jerry Howard got into the action when he took a dive up the middle for a 65-yard touchdown on just his second career carry. That made the score 30-7 with 8:57 left in the third quarter.
