The Georgia Bulldogs are in the four-team College Football Playoff and will face Oklahoma in a national semifinal in the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day.

SEC champion Georgia was No. 3 and Big 12 champion Oklahoma No. 2 in the rankings released Sunday afternoon by the playoff selection committee.

The other semifinal will pit No. 1 Clemson, the ACC champion, against No. 4 Alabama in the Sugar Bowl, also on New Year’s Day. The committee chose Alabama over Big Ten champion Ohio State for the final berth in the playoff.

The semifinal winners will meet at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium for the national championship on Jan. 8.
