Former Georgia receiver Demetris Robertson, a sixth-year senior, announced Thursday he will transfer to Auburn after spending a month in the NCAA transfer portal.

Robertson signed with Cal as a five-star recruit out of Savannah Christian Prep in 2016, recording 50 catches for 767 yards and seven touchdowns as a freshman. Injuries cut short his sophomore season, and he shocked the Pac-12 when he announced his decision to transfer to Georgia in 2018.

He played in nine of 14 games without catching a pass — while producing two runs for 95 yards — his first year in Athens.

Robertson played in all 10 games last season and had 12 receptions for 110 yards. He started in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl and had one catch for four yards.

The Bulldogs play at Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn, Ala., on Oct. 9.
