The Atlanta Falcons running game had little success throughout most of the first half against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. But that didn’t stop running back Tevin Coleman from bowling his way into the end zone to give the Falcons the lead just before halftime.

With 1:34 left in the second quarter at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Coleman followed defensive tackle-turned fullback Dontari Poe in for a 1-yard touchdown to put Atlanta ahead 10-7.

Before the 9-play, 80-yard drive, the Falcons had just four yards rushing. On the drive, offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian dialed up some outside runs and the Falcons picked up runs of 15 yards and 19 yards.

Coleman is getting the bulk of the carries because starting running back Devonta Freeman left the game in the first quarter with a concussion.
