Former Georgia players named Rams team captains for the 2017 season

Former Georgia football stars running back Todd Gurley and linebacker Alec Ogletree were named team captains for the Los Angeles Rams’ 2017 season.

Gurley and Ogletree were voted by the teammates to be team captains along with punter Johnny Hekker, tackle Andrew Whitworth, outside linebacker Connor Barwin and cornerback Trumaine Johnson.

Gurley was drafted by the Rams in 10th overall in the 2015 NFL Draft while the Rams selected Ogletree 30th overall in the 2013 NFL Draft.

In three seasons at Georgia from 2012-2014, Gurley rushed for 3,285 yards and 36 touchdowns and received for 615 yards and six touchdowns.

Ogletree, who played at Georgia from 2010-2012, racked up 197 total tackles, six sacks, one interception and two forced fumbles.
