Here's what several Falcons players said after the dramatic 34-32 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday at Raymond James Stadium:
VIC BEASLEY, defensive end
On the three-game winning streak: "It was cool to be able to get three wins in a row. I think we played together in all of these games. It was pretty cool to see the guys come together and work with each other."
On dealing with the injuries: "Yeah, that was tough. I was tough losing Keanu Neal on defense. Ricardo Allen and Debo (Deion Jones) for a little while (10 games). There were a couple of other guys that we lost, too. It was a tough process. We were able to bring some other guys in and try to fill those spots. We had guys that came in and filled those roles."
On his 2018 season: "It was cool. I didn't get the production that I wanted. It's something to build off of. I just have to keep working. Keep challenging myself to be as good of a player as I want to be. So, that's what I'll work on this offseason."
On things he wants to work on: "I mean, at year four in this league, I've seen a lot of things as far as chip blocks, pass rush, a lot of attention there. I can improve in that area, but it comes down to just have that relentless pursuit to get to the quarterback. Just taking advantage of the opportunities, the little opportunities that we have as pass rushers."
MATT BRYANT, kicker
On his game-winning kick: "I try to stay in the moment as far as the process of keeping my head down and kicking through the ball. Just doing the best I can in that moment."
On his mindset: "Those are always fun to be able to go out there and put on points at the end of the game. I try to consider it as If I don't make that earlier filed goal in the third quarter, then that field goal really doesn't mean anything. I try to treat them all the same and hopefully everything works out."
GRADY JARRETT, defensive tackle
On finishing the season with a three-game winning streak: "It felt good to close out the season with wins and get back on a winning track. For it to end the way it did, shout out to the G.O.A.T. Matt Bryant (for) always handling business and taking care of the boys."
On takeaways from this season: "Just staying resilient no matter what the obstacles there were. Whether if was working through injuries, coming out every week working through tough times, going on losing streaks and just being resilient. Just believing in ourselves and working hard each week in and week out."
On whether ending the season on a high note will help carry over momentum into next season: "Like you said, the team will be different, so we'll see."
On what wide receiver Julio Jones has taught him during his career so far: "A lot, man. Even if it's not directly talking to him, just watching him go about his business. [He is] one of the most respected guys in the league. He's a guy who comes and works day in and day out. He is not about all that extra stuff. He just a true competitor that wants to be great. I don't have anything but respect for him. That's my brother, man, so it's much love to him and he's definitely someone I have learned a lot from."
CALVIN RIDLEY, wide receiver
On his rookie season: "It was fun. Definitely could have been a lot better for me as a player (in terms) of things I wanted to get done."
On the highlight of his rookie season: "Finishing this last game the right way. Getting a win and bringing it home to Atlanta. Just finishing the right way, period."
On seeing kicker Matt Bryant make the game-winning field goal: "It was great. We see it every day at the end of practice. He's a vet, he's a real vet. He does the right thing and we pretty much knew he had a great shot at making it. It was awesome."
On one thing wide receiver Julio Jones has taught him during his rookie season that stands out the most: "Just route running. Being a receiver and what comes with being a receiver and ways to get better as a receiver. That's really what helped me to become a better receiver. He really understands what's going and when I'm not doing good and why I'm not doing good and why I can do better and when I can do better. He really just helped me out a lot to become a better receiver and it's going to roll over for the years to come too."
