Thomas Davis: ‘I will be there playing on Super Bowl Sunday’

Feb 2, 2016

SAN JOSE, CALIF. – Carolina linebacker Thomas Davis reported no set backs as he tries to recovery from a broken arm.

The Panthers held contact practice on Friday before leaving for the Super Bowl and a light workout on Monday. They won’t practice today, before returning the field on Wednesday.

“I was excited, just really glad to be back out there with my teammates, running around, moving around, being active (and) not really feeling any pain,” said Davis, who will try to play with a cast. “So, that was probably the best part of the day.”

Davis, the former University of Georgia standout, believes he’ll be ready for the game.

“Without a doubt, I will be there playing on Super Bowl Sunday,” Davis said.
