In the past two games, the Falcons repeatedly stalled inside the opponent’s 20-yard line.

They scored three touchdowns in 10 red-zone trips against the Saints (a 26-23 loss in overtime) and the Titans (a 23-17 victory).

Here’s how the Falcons fared on red-zone trips against the Titans:

1. Matt Ryan threw a 17-yard touchdown pass to Tony Gonzalez to put the Falcons up 7-0.

2. After an incomplete pass to Roddy White on first-and-goal from the 5, Michael Turner was stopped on two runs. Matt Bryant kicked a 19-yard field goal to make the score 10-0.

3. On third-and 5 from the 12, Eric Weems was called for pass interference. Bryant added a 33-yard field goal to make the score 13-0.

4. Turner scored on a 4-yard run to make the score 20-3.

5. After a first-and-goal from the 8, Jacquizz Rodgers was stopped on two runs before Ryan’s pass for Jason Snelling was incomplete. Bryant added a 24-yard field goal to make the score 23-3.

6. On second-and-goal from the 7, Turner fumbled and Tennessee’s Will Witherspoon recovered.

Here’s how they fared on red-zone trips against the Saints:

1. They couldn’t overcome a false-start penalty by left tackle Will Svitek and settled for a 36-yard Bryant field goal to make the score 3-0.

2. The drive stalled at the 11. Bryant added a 29-yard field goal to the make the score 6-3.

3. Ryan tossed a 20-yard touchdown pass to Gonzalez to make the score Saints 23, Falcons 20.

4. With the clock winding down, Bryant makes a 27-yard field goal to force overtime.

The Falcons have scored 186 points on 38 trips inside the 20-yard line this season, scoring 21 touchdowns and making 13 field goals. The Falcons’ scoring percentage (89.4) ranks eighth in the NFL.
