The St. Louis Rams selected Todd Gurley, a running back from Georgia, with the 10th pick in the first round of the NFL draft Thursday night.

Gurley, who left Georgia after his junior season, finished his career as the Bulldogs’ second leading rusher. He gained 3,285 yards in 30 games. He scored 32 touchdowns rushing and averaged 6.4 yards per carry.

Gurley missed four games as a junior while serving a suspension for his role in an autograph scandal. He sustained a season-ending knee injury in his first game back and missed the final two games of the regular season and Georgia’s bowl game.

His knee reportedly passed medical tests during an NFL combine recheck in Indianapolis two weeks ago.
