Quinn to look at Ridley as a returner

April 27, 2018

The Falcons have an opening at kickoff and punt returner, and they will at least experiment with first-round pick Calvin Ridley as a returner.

“At the rookie camp, I’d certainly like to look at it,” Falcons coach Dan Quinn said. “He has the skill and the ability to do it. ... Based on his sheer explosiveness, we definitely want to look at it.”

Ridley returned only two punts for four yards at Alabama. He did not have any kickoff returns.

Andre Roberts was the returner last season. He signed with the New York Jets in free agency this offseason.
