Falcons defensive tackle Corey Peters (Achilles) and rookie safety Dezmen Southward (concussion) were listed on the team’s official injury report submitted to the league office on Wednesday.

Peters, who suffered his injury in the 15th game of last season against San Francisco, is coming back from offseason surgery.

Southward was recently released from the league concussion protocol.

For Peters, it was just his third-padded practice.

“I think Corey did some good things,” Falcons coach Mike Smith said after practice. “I want to get in there and really watch the tape….and get an opportunity to speak with Corey.”
