Super Bowl XLIX will feature the No. 1 offense going against the No. 1 defense in the league.

New England’s offense averaged 409.5 yards per game, while Seattle’s defense gave up 267.1 yards per game.

“These guys are simple and really, really good at what they do,” New England offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels said. “They are physical and fast. They don’t really care a whole lot about what you are doing, they are going to go ahead and do their thing.”

In last season’s Super Bowl, the Seahawks played just two defenses and didn’t pay attention to all of the audibles and hand gestures that Denver quarterback Peyton Manning was making. They just attacked the Broncos and came away with an astounding 43-8 victory at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.

“It’s going to be a great challenge for us,” McDaniels said. “There’s probably not going to be a whole lot of trickeration on either side. We’re going to play a straight up game with them. They know what to expect from us and I think we know what to expect from them. It should be a great battle.”
