Falcons safety William Moore, who played at Missouri and spent his early childhood in Ferguson, sent his condolences to the Michael Brown family after practice on Tuesday.

“Definitely, that’s where I grew up at in Ferguson,” Moore said. “I’ve got a lot of family there and a lot of friends. I’m trying to stay as far away from it as I can as far as being out there. I’ve also talked to them.

“What’s going to be done is going to be done. I wish (the Brown) family the best and I pray for all of them.”

Moore spent his later years in Hayti, Mo., before going on to star with the Tigers.

“Aunties, cousins, nephews, I’ve got a lot of family there,” Moore said. “That’s where I grew up at until I was six years old. Most of it I don’t remember, but my Mom had to tell me. I knew I’d grown up in St. Louis, but I didn’t know it was in Ferguson.”
