Matt Ryan: ‘It’s always tough playing New Orleans’

Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan has been at his best against the Saints.

The Falcons (7-5) play the Saints (9-3) at 8:25 p.m. Thursday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in a major NFC South division game.

Ryan averages 299.6 yards per game and has thrown 30  touchdown passes in 17 career games versus New Orleans.

Overall, Ryan is 7-10 in starts against the Saints, but has won four of the last six.

This will be the 96th regular-season meeting of the two teams. The Falcons lead the series 50-45.
