Dallas linebacker Sean Lee, who racked up 174 tackles in 2013, takes us behind enemy lines.

The Cowboys are 2-0, but are dealing with the emotional scars that come with losing wide receiver Dez Bryant (broken foot) and quarterback Tony Romo (fractured collarbone) to major injuries.

“It’s obviously a tough injury because Tony is an unbelievable leader, an unbelievable player, but we have guys who are ready to step up,” Lee said. “(Brandon) Weeden played great for us down the stretch last week. He’s been working extremely hard and is ready to go.”

The Dallas defense has played well this season. The Cowboys are eighth overall (336.9 yards per game) and sixth (18.6) in points allowed.

“We are trying to take a step forward,” Lee said. “We know that we’re going to have to handle (more of) the load a little bit, but I think we’re ready for it.”

The Cowboys hope they have answers for Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones, who leads the NFL with 22 receptions.

“The guy has been playing at an unbelievable level this year, like he has in the past,” Lee said. “He’s a fantastic player. That’s somebody that they’ve done a great job of getting the ball to.

“He’s made a ton of plays in the first two games and we’re going to have to find a way to stop him. If he gets going, the offense really starts to roll.”
