Julio Jones misses practice with calf injury

Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones missed practice with a calf injury Wednesday, according to the team’s official injury report.

Jones  was a surprise addition to the injury report. He played 48 of 63 offensive snaps (76 percent) in the 31-24 win over the Panthers on Sunday.

Jones was limping a little bit after the game in the locker room.

Defensive end Takkarist McKinley (groin), defensive end Derrick Shelby (groin) and running back Devonta Freeman (knee contusion) also did not practice.

Guard Ben Garland (left calf) and wide receiver Russell Gage (knee) returned to practice.

Reserve linebacker Corey Nelson left practice with a calf injury and was limited.

Cornerback Isaiah Oliver (ankle) fully participated in practice.
