Julio Jones makes dramatic minicamp entrance

Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones, wearing a team-issued bucket hat, made a dramatic entrance about 29 minutes into the first minicamp practice on Tuesday.

Jones, who’s rehabbing and resting his feet, did not participate in practice.

Also, defensive tackle Grady Jarrett and linebacker Deion Jones (foot) did not participate. Defensive end Vic Beasley did participate in Tuesday’s practice.

Free safety Ricardo Allen (Achilles) and cornerback Desmond Trufant (excused) were not at the early part of the practice.

Also, guard Adam Gettis, tight end Austin Hooper (ankle), defensive tackle Tyeler Davison did not practice.

Cornerback Kendall Sheffield, defensive end Chris Odom and long snapper Josh Harris worked off to the side with the trainers.
