Falcons’ wide receiver Julio Jones reacted to his visit to the State Capitol on Twitter on Wednesday, writing that he was “thankful to be recognized.”

Jones visited the State Capitol on Wednesday along with Jon Guyen and the development team from Ivy Creek Partners to unveil details about a project bringing an entertainment and shopping complex closer to Flowery Branch, Falcons' writer D. Orlando Ledbetter reported on Wednesday.

Jones also updated Ledbetter on how he's feeling after a minor surgery on March 6 on his foot. Jones played nearly half of the NFL season with a foot injury and appeared at the State Capitol wearing a boot on Wednesday, according to Ledbetter and staff writer Tyler Estep.
