Johnson, Arenas in Bama on Bama fight

The Falcons working at about half speed for much of the practice before another fight broke out on Wednesday.

After running back Devonta Freeman broke into the secondary he was drilled by defensive back Javier Arenas, but both sides just stood around for a second before right guard Mike Johnson, who was playing with the second team offensive line, emerged and punched his old college teammate.

Johnson and Arenas played at Alabama.

This fight didn’t escalate into a major brawl like other fights in this camp, but it showed just how much the coaching staff is placing on tough, smart football.

The players have got the tough part down.

But the defensive backs defended Arenas, because he was told to “show” in the hole, which apparently means to hit anybody who comes through.

The offense was offended after he popped Freeman.
